Morning Update (11/26/10)

The smiling boy up front may catch your attention, but it's the man in the back who earned some recognition this month. Find out why in Sunday's edition of The Terrell Tribune.

• It's Black Friday. Are you headed out to shop? Or are you waiting for Small Business Saturday? Either way, I hope you spend some of those dollars with our local merchants. Remember, shop local.

• A few of our readers offered their reasons for being thankful over this holiday weekend. You can read them here.

• Meanwhile, a few more readers have some opinions about recent thefts at a local church.

• The Gates of Paradise will be singing at 4 p.m., Dec. 5 at the House of Prayer Church in Wills Point. Host pastor: E.D. Hardin.

• Donations are needed for a clothing closet to help those in need. Household items and furniture are also needed. Drop off items or pick-ups are available. 905 E. Nash St. Lakisha Leach, 469-474-4861.
