The Terrell boys basketball team defeated Mesquite Poteet 53-45 Tuesday night at TISD Athletic Complex.

Leading 27-23 at the half, Terrell opened up a 14 point lead in the second half as they never looked back on the way to their second district win.

Jherrod Stiggers led the way with 22 points for the Tigers.

Terrell travels to Waxahachie 8 p.m. Friday.




The Lady Tigers had less success on Poteet's home court, falling 52-37. Tonisha Dean was Terrell's high scorer with 16.
