As a newspaper and media outlet, we are pretty closely tied to first-amendment rights to freedom of speech. With that we are very grateful to those men, women and families who have sacrificed to keep our nation free and safe.
Also, as we go through our daily lives, it is so easy to forget that right now, members of our military are in extremely dangerous combat situations. Let's let these folks know how much we appreciate them today, and continue to support them every day of the year.
There will be a Veterans Day program and luncheon at Terrell High School beginning at 10:30 a.m. today, and groundbreaking for the Terrell Veterans Memorial is scheduled for 1 p.m.
