Baseball gets back to action

The Terrell Tigers baseball team will look to get back to their winning ways when they host Red Oak 7 p.m. at Ben Gill Park.

The Red Oak Hawks come in scorching hot having won five straight and seven of their past eight contests. They are averaging almost six runs a game in their past five games.

The Hawks and Tigers have had several common opponents so far this season including Mesquite Poteet and Rockwall-Heath.

Terrell lost to Poteet, 16-1, while Red Oak fell to the Pirates, 11-1. Rockwall-Heath dispatched of Terrell, 11-1, while Red Oak fell to the Hawks, 9-8.

If the Tigers were looking for a break in the schedule, they will not get it with a red hot Red Oak coming to town.
