Apparently, the City of Terrell isn't the only local government entity who will be asking employees to take unpaid days off.
Kaufman County commissioners are leaning toward having all county employees take one furlough (unpaid) day per month, and closing all county offices for that one day each month, in the next fiscal year.
If that proposal remains in ongoing budget talks, that one-day-per-month shutdown would begin in October when the 2011 fiscal year starts.
