Purple Heart For Shawn McNabb

This morning I got this from David McNabb, father of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Shawn Henry McNabb:
"We received word this evening that Shawns death has now been ruled a homicide due to a hostile action by the enemy. Unknown method but probably with an RPG that downed the aircraft. Earlier reports listed a combination of factors but not hostile action.
This now changes Shawns designation to KIlled in Action KIA and he will now be awarded the Purple Heart as well.
There is more but I will have to get some clarification on the other info before I share it. For those that arent in the military this IS important info and does mean something. It wont bring Shawn back but will give him more honors for his service. I can say that my son was a soldier performing a special mission. He loved this country, honored its flag, was proud to serve and gave his life protecting us. Lets never forget what our soldiers do for Us. Sincerely David"
As the story develops, we'll keep you updated.
