Morning Update (11/30/10)

• As far as Brent Simmons is concerned, he is doing what he’s always wanted. The 33-year-old Edgewood native, who serves as a driver for the Terrell Fire Department, admits being a firefighter is something he’s wanted to do since childhood. Link.

• Have you checked out our e-edition?

• The District 15-4A basketball season gets under way tonight for the Runnin' Tigers as they play host to Waxahachie. Varsity action tips off at 8 p.m. The Lady Tigers are on the road against Waxahachie.

• The Terrell Market Center — future home of a Baylor hospital in Terrell — is on Thursday's Terrell City Council workshop agenda. In fact, it looks like many of the items on the agenda concern that development. FYI, if you're hoping to attend the meeting, take note that it will start at 4:30 p.m. as opposed to the normal workshop time of 6 p.m.
