The Terrell Tigers baseball team opens up the Gage Davis
era and the season with a 6 p.m. home tilt against Garland Lakeview.
After watching the Tigers scrimmage against DeSoto, it was tough
to draw any conclusions. The one I did draw though was that DeSoto
was one of the most athletic high school baseball teams I have ever seen.
They run the bases aggressively and they can also hit for power. DeSoto hit
two homeruns during the scrimmage.
Terrell is aggressive when they get on the bases because they may not
have the power other teams in the district pose.
I don't know how good Terrell will be right now, it is too early to say. They are still
developing a pitching staff and identifying an everyday line-up.
The guess here though is that they will be better in April than
they were in now and in March.
