1. With 77 percent of staff participating in the survey, Terrell ISD got a predominantly favorable review from its employees, according to survey data presented Monday night at the TISD board meeting. Overall, Terrell ISD employees responded favorably regarding job satisfaction. They indicated that the most important aspects leading to their job satisfaction were: support from supervisors and meaningful work. Nearly all like the work they do, find their work meaningful and challenging, understand what is expected of them, and are satisfied with their job assignment. Look for a story in Thursday's edition of the paper.
2. Kaufman County Commissioners will hold a meeting concerning area transportation issues at 6 p.m. tonight in their courtroom in the Kaufman County Annex Building, 100 N. Washington St. in Kaufman.
3. The Terrell High School baseball season gets under way tonight at 6 p.m. as the Tigers play host to Garland Lakeview. Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers begin District 15-4A play at home against Mesquite Poteet at 4:30 p.m. THS soccer squads are taking on Mesquite Poteet as well with the Lady Tigers on the road and the boys at Memorial Stadium.
