Judging from the Terrell boys basketball team's 2-5 district record, you might think they would be out of the District 15 playoff race. Think again.
Terrell stands two games behind Red Oak for the fourth and final playoff spot.
The thing is, there are nine games remaining inside the district so the Tigers control their own destiny when it comes to making the playoffs.
Terrell has lost four of their district games by a combined 11 points to Ennis, Waxahachie, Forney and West Mesquite.
The Tigers have held at least a seven point lead in every district game so far except Lancaster where they were close at halftime.
Anyone who has watched Terrell this year knows there may not be a more athletic group out there and they have not been overmatched at all.
With a full round of district play still left, THS coach Willie Coulter has to sell to his team that there is not a team left on the schedule the Tigers cannot beat.
Say what you want but these next five weeks should be nothing but interesting.
