Winter Weather Advisory

As of 1700 the National Weather Service has placed us under a Winter Weather Advisory.     The NWS forecast calls for rain to begin late this evening with some thunderstorms and heavy rain. By dawn the temperatures will be at or below freezing and the rain will change to freezing rain and sleet. By mid-morning (0900) the temperatures will be entering the upper 20's and the precipitation will be changing into sleet and snow. The prediction is for approximately 1" of accumulation of ice, sleet, snow. NWS advises that bridges and overpasses will be icing over early in the morning with secondary streets and major thoroughfares icing before noon.
